When is the best time of the year to book? When is your peak and off-peak season?

Peak Season: Tourist season typically runs from April – October (during the cooler months).

It starts to get busy from the April school holidays, peaking in June/July (coinciding with the QLD, NSW, and VIC school holidays), and tapering back down to September school holidays. We also experience peak busy times during events.

If you are visiting during peak season, please expect quite a number of other vehicles and guests.

Off-Peak Season: November – March (during the warmer months).

Please understand that this is a harsher time of year to be camping and we have limited staff during this period. Our Bore Campsite and Shearers Campsite will be open for bookings and whilst it is generally peaceful and quiet, the temperatures can be high and less desirable. Due to limited staff, accommodation, the Bore Baa and Merch Hut will be unavailable. Please check availability online or by emailing stay@charlotteplains.com.au.
