What happens if there’s been recent rain or bad weather forecasted? How do I check road updates?
Charlotte Plains is a rural station and our roads are easily affected by rain.
We will always do our best to post accurate and frequent weather updates to our social media. Please check our Facebook and Instagram before you arrive for any notice of road closures or partial access. You can also check if there is any predicted rain prior to your arrival via our live weather station here.
PLEASE NOTE: We are on UHF channel 26. Do not attempt to drive when it has been or is raining, as you will likely get bogged. A $200 fee per vehicle, applies to those who require pulling out. This has become necessary as we travel 23km to do this.
If Middle Rd is closed:
– The Private Bathing Hut WILL NOT be accessible from the Bore Campsite.
– The accommodation remains accessible via the Homestead (Charlotte Plains Rd), but please note that the communal Hot Artesian Baths are only reachable by a 40km round trip (back along Charlotte Plains Rd). However, you can still access the Private Bathing Hut from your accommodation.
