Birdsville Races (The Outback Melbourne Cup)

Due to the 2021 event being postponed, this brings a unique and exciting opportunity to witness the Birdsville Races in April!
It is the perfect time to make your way to Queensland and enjoy two magnificent days of quality Outback Racing.
Dubbed as the Melbourne Cup of the Outback, crowds of 6000 racegoers converge on Birdsville each year to enjoy two days of quality outback racing and entertainment. The second race meets in the Simpson Desert Racing Carnival, the 13 race program features horses from all over Australia competing for the coveted TAB Birdsville Cup. Other entertainment includes the Fashions on the Field, Fred Brophy’s Boxing Troupe, entertainment at the Birdsville Hotel, Fun Run, Cocktail Party, a variety of food vendors, a giant auction and much more.
