Big Red Bash

Every July, Birdsville’s iconic Big Red Bash kicks off under the open skies of Australia’s Simpson Desert. It is the world’s most remote major music festival set at the Big Red Dune – 35 kilometres west of Birdsville, QLD, on the eastern edge of the Simpson Desert.

This is the bash where you can find Australia’s most iconic musicians in the desert while thousands of others flock to camp under the starts to hear them. Some of the humour and extensive activities on offer include camel rides, movies on the big screen, yoga at sunrise, sand dune surfing, outback air guitar championships, dunny door painting and nut bush world record attempt.
