By road

Please consider the conditions and seasonal weather before coming to visit!

Travelling from Cunnamulla

From the Caltex Service Station on the edge of town drive 45 km along the Balonne Highway towards St George. At the second large sign saying “Charlotte Plains”, turn and travel 15 km (dirt road) to the homestead.

The first “Charlotte Plains” sign is more suitable in wet weather but is a longer journey.

Travelling from St George

Travel towards Cunnamulla via Bollon. The first “Charlotte Plains” sign & white mailbox is approx 135km from Bollon. Drive 15 km (dirt road) in to the homestead.

In wet weather, travel past the first sign to the second “Charlotte Plains” sign. It is a longer journey but the road is more suitable.

Seair offers a 3 day Outback Adventure, flying in a Cessna Caravan from the Gold Coast to visit iconic parts of outback Australia. The tour visits Charlotte Plains for a full tour and lunch on day three.

By rail/coach

Bus Queensland runs three services to Cunnamulla on a Sunday, Wednesday and Friday; with return services operating on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
